Thank You MSA

August 13, 2021 – This summer, I was able to intern for Mesa Science Associates (MSA). During my tireless search for a summer internship in the midst of the Covid-19 pandemic, I desperately reached out to companies at FITCI to see if anyone was interested in allowing me to intern for them. Being a microbiology student interested in pharmaceuticals and business, I was ecstatic to learn that I had the opportunity to work with MSA. As I part with MSA, I can wholeheartedly say that I’ve learned more about the pharmaceutical industry than I could have in any other way. I was able to sit in on important meetings, review regulatory documents, execute experiments on pharmaceutical devices, and even perform data analyses on clinical study data. I was also grateful to be mentored by some of the most experienced and accomplished members of the field. Most importantly, I was able to come to work in an inviting and inspiring environment every day that encouraged me to grow as a student and person. I cannot thank the MSA team enough for their important contributions to my future aspirations and goals. Lastly, if there was one thing I learned from this experience, it would be to always go the extra mile because you never know what type of opportunities will come your way.
